Synopsis
Ce film brosse un portrait des immigrés dominicains vivant à New York dans les années 1980 et 1990 à travers l'histoire d'une famille dont le plus jeune fils, Felipe Lopez, est devenu une star nationale du basket au lycée, et qu'on a surnommé "le Michael Jordan dominicain". Considéré comme un héros immigrant, puis écarté pour son échec en tant qu'Américain, Felipe Lopez finit par trouver le bonheur non pas sur un terrain de basket, mais en accomplissant son destin.
